| Mina Schirmer |
- Born in 1981 Mina Schirmer has been involved in many aspects of the creative process since a young age. Trying her hand at music, dance, poetry and the visual arts, she was recognized in various youth poetry competitions and art shows.
In early 2000 she wrote her own online 'zine called “Lip gloss and Ligatures" and has published in numerous alternative poetry anthologies. Her graphic work has seen its way into CD layouts and T-shirt designs of such independent bands as the Dirge Carolers and the Replacement Chrissys.
Visually her work trends to more macabre subject matter often with religious overtones, dealing with pandemics, bizarre anatomical pairings and exploitative freak show imagery.
